Description

What exactly is Khandsari?

Khandsari is a traditional, minimally processed sugar made by concentrating sugarcane juice without the extensive refining and bleaching used to produce white sugar. Because it undergoes far less processing, it retains its natural golden colour, rich sugarcane flavour and traces of the minerals naturally present in sugarcane.

Unlike refined white sugar, which is stripped down to almost pure sucrose, Khandsari is made using a simpler process without sulphur bleaching, giving it a more wholesome, old-fashioned character.

Our Natural Khandsari Sugar has a gentle caramel-like sweetness that works beautifully in tea, coffee, baking, desserts and everyday cooking. It dissolves just like regular sugar while adding a richer flavour to your food.
